It is with deep sorrow that the Executive Board of the Centro Internacional de Matemática informs that its President, Professor Isabel Narra de Figueiredo, passed away on September 7, 2023, after a prolonged illness.
The current Board Members express their gratitude and admiration for all the dedication, commitment, and professionalism exhibited by Isabel in carrying out her responsibilities at the Centro Internacional de Matemática. Her sense of mission was remarkable, never allowing her to relinquish these duties, even during extraordinarily challenging personal times.
We fondly remember the enthusiasm and dynamism that always characterized Isabel in her interactions within the Centro Internacional de Matemática.
